Then the encounter/NPC should be fixed, instead of neglecting the talent. Right now you have to sacrifice the majority of your Vim pool in return for a shielding effect that won't last more than a turn in the situations where you really need it. If full immunity for a turn is too powerful, give it an "armor hardiness"-style property. Really, I'd rather it be a talent you can sustain constantly at significant Vim cost in return for increased defenses, opposed to a talent you can only utilize infrequently at exorbitant Vim cost in return for an extremely short period of perfect defense.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

I admit, I've never played as a corrupter. If it really does cost him a big chunk of his vim pool (and he doesn't have an easy way to recover it in the meantime), then it's less of an issue than I'd thought.

It costs 150 vim. For comparison, demon form and fearscape cost 180 combined. You can't recover that Vim while the shield is active, since it acts as a sustain. Also, Bone is a locked tree.Sirrocco wrote:I admit, I've never played as a corrupter. I'd take the awesome demon form every day, with an option to fearscape the nasty rare elite/boss.
