More unlockable trees

Re: More unlockable trees
+1 for two options (one grindy, one challenging) for the unlocks. That way everyone gets them eventually, but you can still choose to go for them. (Hope I'm not misunderstanding, and that you intended it to need both, instead of either.)
Re: More unlockable trees
I like this idea and plan to incorporate it both into a new unlockable tree for wardens and into a new class. Maybe the new class unlock would unlock the tree for wardens as well.Aquillion wrote:Thoughts about Temporal Warden unlockable trees:
They have lot of options already, granted. But one thing I'd like to see for them is a tree that rewards them for teleporting a lot -- it feels like they should be able to get more benefit from warping in behind someone.
By 'teleport' here I mean any skill that moves you instantly from one point to another -- swap, temporal wake, etc. Their portal skill would only count when you step through it on the turn you created it, since the idea here is 'surprise' -- that'd keep you from getting the benefits of these skills by stepping back and forth through it repeatedly.
Something like, say:
A skill that gives you a bonus to your critical chance (and maybe multiplier) on the turn after you teleport.
A skill that gives you a bonus to your defense on the turn after you teleport.
A skill that raises your global speed for a brief while after you teleport...?
A skill that gets a free attack against all adjacent enemies after any teleport? (Problem: That might tie it too much into melee.) Or, perhaps, does a burst of temporal damage?

Re: More unlockable trees
Quick lil' berserker tree idea. Possibly marauders too?
Techniques / Barbarism
Manhandle (Passive)
"Good things may come in small packages, but they're still easier to stamp on and break."
Passively deal [3/6/9/12/15]% more damage to enemies per size category smaller they are than you.
Calamitous Strikes (Sustained)
"Your blows are as mighty as thunder, and twice as loud."
Increases your physical damage by [4/8/12/16/20]%, but each time you strike an enemy in melee you automatically alert all enemies in a 10-square radius.
Rack & Ruin (Activated)
"Leave your mark on the battlefield! Literally."
Thumps an adjacent enemy, knocking them back [3/4/5/6/7] squares. If the enemy collides with a destructible obstacle (non-permanent walls and the like) the obstacle is destroyed and they take additional damage.
Brutality (Sustained)
"Let the enemy know that, when it comes to melee combat, they're in your house."
Whenever you damage an enemy for more than [20/18/16/14/12]% of their total life, you recieve a buff that halves that enemy's effective armour and raises your crit chance and damage against them by [5/10/15/20/25]% for [3/3/4/4/5] turns.
