I like the idea of healing or reviving seeds, although that's not too hard to do already. The main problem I see with the vim regen is that Demonologists don't have much trouble with vim anyway, although this could be used to extend the shield skill or something.

Yeah my thinking on the Vim regen idea would be that the current Vim regen enhancers (like ring slot seeds) would be freed up to do something else, so the average Demonologist would actually have a cause to use up old seeds for Vim regen on occasion.

IMHO the major argument against feed-boosting your best seeds is that it encourages pack-rat behavior: you want to get a Level 50 seed ~before~ you start the feeding frenzy, and you want to pump that seed with absolutely everything accumulated over your career. That's optimal behavior, and it's shitty gameplay, and that's a bad combo.
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

I don't have the addon, but if seeds used for summoning do not heal then that would be the way I would go. Or implement both that and vim recovery. If they're cluttering inventories I assume they're also not transmogrifiable or give no return so changing that would be another solution.

Correct, nontransfigurable. You can drop them, but it seems a waste.

That's why I suggested some limit to how high you could level them, based on talent level and/or your level. So you could never level a seed over, let's say, your level +10? If you get a seed over that level, you can use it, but you couldn't level it until you leveled yourself. And level 60 would be the cap.

I think that might work for the base game, but it's not going to scale like all the other stuff we now do for the Infinite Dungeon, so it's a bit inelegant.

But yeah, that could be okay.
