DG, I'm terribly sorry for being absent - there are terrible troubles with mobile internets in my country house. But I hope we've crossed the threshold where my interference was necessary and I hope you can continue integrating those effects to the engine.
I may not be able to see the vids you posted(kinda hard on 8kbps) but if you need any other effects let me know - I can create and upload them.

DG, water, teleport and directional waves look awesome as far as i can tell from video quality! Looks like you've added that darkening effect proportional to distortion value but I do suggest adding a regular colored texture to them, it's easy and way more flexible! Also I think fireball needs tweaking. How about lowering its transperency inversly proportional to its radius/square radius? I mean texColor.a *= defRadius / currentRadius; Otherwise it just vanishes when reaching certain radius which seems lame to me.
Also waiting to see some of singularity effects on solipsist's distortion effects, on irresistible sun and on mindslayer's implode.
Guys, any other ideas regarding which skills can use such effects are still welcome.
