Temporal Combat category bonus seems like the best idea, to me.

Edit: 1.02 added.

I looked up something I had forgotten about until recently; Namely, this thread.

Most of what I suggested was implemented in this version. Lemme know if there's any bugs.

Actual changelist for 1.02:

Bugfixes:

Vision range bonus now properly shows on Vision amulets.

Added changes:

"warden's" ranged ego: Grants a 0.1, 0.1 boost to Chronomancy/Temporal Combat.
The Warped Boots: Blight damage bonus and spellcrit removed. Added 10 Mind/Spellresist, 10% Blight resistance, and +80 life.
Scorched Boots: Fire/Darkness +15% damage bonuses added. 6% spellcrit added. L3 Poison Storm(30 power out of 40) added.
Crown of Command: +5 Mindpower, L1 Indomitable(60 out of 60 power), grants +7 Strength/+7 Cunning to Halflings.
Gloves of the Firm Hand: 30% stun resistance.
Voice of Telos: Grants 5% Arcane/Cold/Blight/Darkness/Acid/Light/Fire/Lightning affinity.
Cuirass of the Thronesman: Healing Modifier penalty dropped from 40% to 30%. Added 10% Armor Hardiness and 25% Darkness resistance. Grants +100 Life to Dwarves, and +15 Fatigue(negating its penalty entirely).
Sword of Potential Futures: Negative physical penalty removed. +5 Spellpower/Spellcrit added, weapon delay lowered to 90%.
Dagger of the Past: Negative physical penalty removed. +10 Defense, +10 Spellsave and +20% Movement speed added, weapon delay lowered to 90%.
Witch-Bane: Physical crit raised to 20%.
Spectral Blade: 0.5 Mana Regeneration per turn and +5 Spellpower added.
Void Orb: Added 10% chance of on_hit(spell) Arcane Vortex(L2).
Telos Staff(Bottom): Added +20% Critical Damage modifier, +8% spellcrit, and 20% confusion resistance.
Nature's Vengance: Added 4% allresistance for Antimagic users.
Penitence: Added a 50% disease resistance bonuse and 10% blight resistance bonus for Shalore.
Thaloren Tree-Bow: Added +12 Defense and 20% Blight/Nature resistance bonus for Thalore.
Corpsebow: Added 20 lifedrain ranged project bonus for Undead races.
Helm of Dwarven Emperors: Added a +5 Mag/Wil/Cun bonus for Dwarves.
Orc Feller: Added a +6 Cunning and +25 Luck bonus for Halflings.
Rope Belt of the Thaloren: Added +15 Mindsave/+20 Mind damage resistance for Thalore.
Skin of Many: Added a +30% Confusion/Fear resistance and a negation of the stealth penalty, for Undead races.
Nature's Blessing: Added a +20 Spellsave bonus, for Antimagic.
Sceptre of the Archlich: Expanded the racial bonus from Lich to all Undead races.
Oozing Heart: Added a 30 damage melee project in Manaburn damage, for Antimagic users.
Thaloren-Wood Cuirass: Added a Fatigue negation, for Thalore.
Eksatin's Ultimatum: Way, way too much like Kroll(to the point where it clearly copypasted 90% of its stats. Bad Pure!). Damage dropped to 60, stat bonuses/physical damage bonus/defense bonus/armor bonus removed. Physical crit rate raised to 25% from 5%. APR raised from 7 to 25.

Barring any bugs, this will probably be the last version of this. (And hopefully the last time for a long while that I have to do one of these. :) )

Edit: Oh, darn it, I forgot two artifacts I wanted to tweak. Guess there'll be one small addition set.

Edit: Added in 1.03.

Added changes:

Crown of the Elements: Added an 8% damage bonus to its primary four elements.
Whip of Urh'rok: Damage raised to 55. +15 Spellpower, +20% Blight/Fire damage, L4 Bone Nova(20%) and L3 Blood Boil(15%) on physical hit chances added. (As wielder bonuses, not as carried. The 8% carrying blight bonus is still the only carried bonus.)

Playing mag\cun reaver. Staff based quasi corruptor with more hit points and less spell options

My hope to try two staff build got ruined by the fact that game refuses to put a short staff in reaver's off-hand

Staff of protection is still lame and needs some buff... Got purple blighted staff of protection... It could be very well be without the second part. 7.5% +blight resistance is close to nothing comparing to other possible egos. At the very least it could give resistance to all elements from a category and still it will be weak. Maybe few% of resist all?

Blighted staff is surely better for one of the intended users, even if marginally

Short stuff of illumination worked quite well blinding at melee range because it got two blinding attacks thanking to a mace in offhand...

Using shimmering staff of power right now, Some arcana damage when wearer hits for the "shimmering" ego could be a little nice buff similar to other staffs that got similar thing.

Protection staffs represent a 5-15% resist of whatever type you want(any four types you want, if it hits a Greater staff).

Sure, you lose the damage bonus(since you have to change that with it), and sure, most people aren't going to bother losing their damage bonus much for more resists...but I do disagree with it being actively bad. Niche and a swap-bait, perhaps, but...

Couldn't tell you why a short staff is being weird; It's coded the same way as Telos Top. Then again, I've never tried to have a Reaver offhand Telos Top.

Telo's top can't be offhanded, only telo's bottom. My Ano couldn't offhand the top either, but could offhand the bottom. This implies telo's top is large but onehanded (Like longswords), and bottom is small but onehanded (like daggers/mindstars)

Edit: But reavers can offhand long swords... Derp me. Dunno why then.

Wait...is this whole addon being added to the game, or only parts of it? Either way, congratulations sage, you've done a lot of good work towards this game and I appreciate it. :)

Ring of Growth (Tier 2 Artifact ring) has 0.15 life regen this should be at least 1.5 considering the life regen changes, perhaps more.

Yeah, bit late.

There's a few artifact tweaks I've been thinking about, and I'll be keeping life regen changes in mind(albiet, 0.5 is more like it, to me; As was said, Ring of Growth doesn't need a big buff, and that life regen value was never useful for more than speeding resting, and the new value should reflect that intended design.), but that's a later thing.

The patch I made up for this came up to 120k, that's enough item work for now. :)

Please tell me that 1h staffs can be placed in offhand for Reavers...i have a build id like to do around that.

As was mentioned earlier; They function like Telos Staff(Top), which means they can't be used in the offhand, but can be used in the main hand with a weapon in the offhand.

I couldn't really tell you why; Something specific in the coding of Reaving Combat's dualwielding, I guess. Considering there were concerns about short staff dualwielding being overpowered, earlier, I wasn't sure if fixing it was the right answer, and if Telos Top was meant to be like that or not...

You're always going to have people that cry OP about everything.

Answer is simple, you fix it for those that would like to use it, and everyone else can just choose NOT to do it.


There are just a massive ton of other OP combos right now in the base game, so i dont see the conflict.
