Cunning/Packing

#1 Post by ghostbuster »

With the new infusion scheme, Cunning/Packing should be modified. Several talents do not really make sense any longer.

1/ Efficient Packing (that reduces encombrance of small items)
2/ Insulated packing (that protects scroll/potions from destruction)
4/ Pack rat (that gives you a chance to duplicate a scroll/potion on use).

No real idea to improve that. Maybe one could add some skills that improve your speed to use infusions/runes, or to 'x'change weapons... Or just drop the packing tree and and add some means to reduce encombrance in another talent tree?

I'd say there's no need to keep any of the skills. Encumbrance bonuses can come from several sources, and is only really needed for carrying junk to sell. However I'd say infusions should probably be made immune to destruction.

And by immune you really mean more vulnerable right Grey?

That way players aren't touting around a bunch of limited use runes/infusions and simply replacing them when the charges run out.

This tactic on switching infusions does not work. When you apply the patch, it is in cooldown and you have to wait to use it.
So they can be made immune and it will not change the gameplay, just releave the stress on players...

I realize they're on cooldown when applied but the character still needs to make it all the way to the bottom of the dungeon right?

Anyway my point is carrying 20 speed runes into every dungeon probably shouldn't be encouraged. Limited use items are there to keep uses limited, not to keep inventories full.

If an item is that overpowering it should be rarer then. Not available in shops and highly uncommon in all but the most dangerous dungeons.
