Thanks for opinions. As I mentioned earlier, I'm aware of flaws - I'm working on it =>

& I could actually manage all the graphics (given some time), I enjoy doing this sort of things.
I also thought about water tiles.. I'll delve deeper if you like my style.
Anyone interested in Sangband could enjoy enhancements (200+new monsters, new items, etc., all tested, quite balanced) done by me: PM me, I'll gladly send the files.

Well then, I suggest you continue with the monsters of trollshaws and then onto the next place in order of difficulty, something like:
- amon sul
- sandworm/carn dum/maze/old forest
- tol falas / ancient elven ruins
...

As for water, the currently proceduraly generated ones are fine with me, it's the shores that are needed :)

BTW I was pondering too, would you be able to tackle UI ?
Making panels and such a tad nicer tahn just a plain colored rectangle ? ;)

I could do that. Should I take the UI graphic files and re-edit these? Plus some background images, perhaps?

My weekend was quite busy, but I have improved the canine/troll images plus made all-new snakes. I'll show these (and hopefuly more) by the end of this week.

I was also playing some hours: I started to make some notes of ideas/insight.
The more serious I'm getting, the more I feel that we are at the very beginning. In my opinion, Angband had always been about extended RPG fun - megalomania, applied on minimalistic principles. Do you, Angbanders, agree?

Can you (DG) not let the Unique monsters be circled by a thicker purple block instead of the red one in tactical mode?

There is no (or nearly) UI graphic files :)

Well finish those monsters you have started and we'll see if we do more monsters or the UI, I'm not sure myself what is needed more.

Ah yes thanks :)

BTW, yet some more work for you ;) Could you make (not now) icons for all talents ?
This would allow me to change the hotkey display to be more compact and ressemble other games general UI.
The space gained would be used to show a list of visible monsters :)
