Graphical indicator that an enemy has Nihil

Many status effects in this game have a very useful visual display, but one status that could really use this feature is missing it.
Nihil is a status effect that is applied randomly, but which is also extremely important to know which enemy has it. As it is now, if I cast a spell into a room of enemies I need to just mouse over each enemy until I find the one with Nihil.
This is a small quality of life change that I think would greately improve the feel of playing Cultist of Entropy.
There's asomewhat similar addon, although it also goes even farther by counting the combo for you. I just think Nihil should be given the same graphical treatment as most other status effects. Even the CoE's other spells, such as the prophesies and whisper have lovely graphical effects.

Yeah, probably :). Iirc we thought it will be too much and left it gfx-less. I'll see what can be done.

Thanks for the reply. I can definitely see the appeal of keeping the visual noise down considering the sheer volume of different debuffs a character can be afflicted with at once, particularly from the debuff-spamming CoE.

As long as I have your ear, there are a couple of other effects which I think would benefit particularly from having a visual indicator but aren't worth making another thread about. Like Nihil, they are status that modify how certain talents function and which can be spread randomly; being asleep (from various sources from Solipsist) and being infected with a disease. A good visual indicator for "bleeding" would also be useful, since there are certain talents changed by it.

I can definitely see things getting out of hand and looking ridiculous if you have too many graphics on a character at once, but it would be nice if I could just tell with a glance if I can use Dream Walk, Dream Prison, Cyst Burst, Bloodstream, etc. on some random enemy enemy without needing to check through their mouseover data first. In general, any status that changes how one of my own talents work I would like to be able to discern visually if possible.

In the meanwhile I would suggest that you try the following addons:
  • Nekarcos's Quality of Life 01: Effect Display (we will integrate this with better graphics at some point, but there are always more urgent thing to do and it works, so ... :))
  • Herald of the Herald (I haven't tried it myself, cause no time for playing around :), but it should be right up you request and Zizzo is a Master Addoner)
And will definitely look on all other statuses you've mentioned as well.
