Hi, long time player, first time poster.
Here are some suggestions for the UI of the game that irk me the most.
1. Disable or have an option to disable autosave on entering the Sher'tul fortress with the staff of recall. Since most of the time, player will be in and out of the fortress quickly into the overworld, resulting in needlessly saving.
2. In enemy mouseover tooltip or in inspect creature screen, have a section "Talent(s) used since player's last turn". Information that's handy to know, and accessible in history log, but becomes quite painful to find late game when logs become huge.
3. Display a status effect's detailed type on mouse over in Inspect creature screen, under "current effects" section. Information such as "Wet: Magical. Water/Ice" is already available when mousing over the same effects' icons under the minimap when they affect the player but not in inspect creature screen. Currently can tell the debuffs of most types due to color coding, but some have their own color like diseases, and buffs are all green regardless of type.
4. remove talent icon from toolbar automatically if the item providing that talent was transmog'd.
5. Also, an option to remove the toolbar icon if the item providing the talent requires equipping to use, and you removed the item. I can see how having the toolbar icon remain can be handy especially with swift hands prodigy, but most of the time, I'd prefer them to be removed.
6. Loot filter for items in transmog chest. Late game, sorting through loot becomes quite a chore, because items that improve on current EQ become rare while at the same time the number of dropped items increase. Some filter to make it easier to sort through them would be nice. For example, in an options screen, select multiple attributes from a list, such as +blight dam or +crit dam. Items that have those properties in the transmog chest section of inventory would be marked, for player's consideration. Upon being moved to normal inventory, the mark would be removed.

Additions that came to me as I played:
1. Give tinker attachments and demon seeds slot based categories. Like instead of all of them being simply categorized as "tinker" or "demon seed", make them like "tinker-body". So they can be sorted in a meaningful way.
2. Popup confirmation when trying to rest or autoexplore with an escort.
3. In inventory, indicate arcane items when antimagic (like greying them out) Similarly with disrupt items when you have several spell levels.
4. Indications of what kind of friendly fire a talent does in its description. Like, chill of the tomb does not hurt the caster. But hurts other friendly minions and NPCs. Fireflash which is otherwise a very similar spell hurts everything. Darkfire works like chill of the tomb rather than fireflash. There is no way you'd be able to tell those kind of things from reading the description, and often find out the hard way when you have an escort.

Juggle Hotkeys on Unwield should cover both these cases.ledtim wrote: 4. remove talent icon from toolbar automatically if the item providing that talent was transmog'd.

Inventory Sort Order sorts demon seeds by attachment slot, among other things. I don't think I've ever had enough tinkers in inventory at once to notice any sort order annoyances, but I can poke around in the code and see what's doable.ledtim wrote:1.
