I believe I've periodically seen players confused by the appearance of "resist armor" (which is actually flat damage reduction) in the combat log. Similarly, I think I've seen quite a few times that someone's asking why they're doing no damage to some enemy when the answer is "it has a lot of armor and hardiness".
Two suggestions to improve clarity here:
1) Rephrase the log for flat damage reduction to something other than "resist armor", "flat reduction" if no better ideas are suggested.
2) Actually log the effect of armor on damage, so players can see how useful their armor is to them and to see how much enemy armor is impeding them.
