There is much emphasis about how steamtech isn't canonical in Age of Ascendancy but is included for the take of fun. I wonder about that with the Temporal travelers - they would be actual potential sources of it given their ability to travel into the past and future. Perhaps a Tinker Store located in Point Zero.
One half-joke that comes to mind is that if a game is generated with no tinker escorts period one will show up for chronomancers there without the ability to teach them any of the abilities. It wouldn't be completely useless if someone takes the overkill step of using item storage to transfer items to actual tinkers.

Re: Point Zero and Steamteach
yeah pretty sure temporal wardens use the weapons they do because they fit in with the time period they're in.
so theirs probably a straight steamtech version of the temporal warden for doing time cop stuff on orcish var'eyal.
and if you really wanna justify tinkers on maj'eyal I think kruk pride had already developed tinkers by the time of the main campaign so it'd just be a matter of justifying how they got to maj'eyal.
and now I want time orc steam shenanigans.

Makes you wonder if there's a Chronomancy pride somewhere secret.

It's exactly where Vor Pride is, except 20,000 years in the pastChronosplit wrote:Makes you wonder if there's a Chronomancy pride somewhere secret.
