90% of the time I link something to chat it's a missclick. While not a huge issue by any means, I always find myself wondering why there's no prompt asking me if I actually do want to link this to everyone.
My suggestion is therefore to add a prompt for this, possibly make it optional (located in the "Online" option menu) if people think it'd be annoying to click "yes" when they want to link something.

Agree, I don't care if it's annoying, it'll help discourage people from posting all their artifacts in a spammy fashion which is not something I like warning people about.

There's an addon for this, actually! Not sure whether it works with the latest version, though, it's pretty old. Item Link Verification

Yeah, I see people link random really weak early game items for no reason all the time, that are almost certainly misclicks.
