Ghoul speed - make it based on eating people

#1 Post by Brcz »

I was thinking about how undead are depicted as wanting to go after brains or generally just eat people, and a thought came to me.

What if the ghoul speed penalty was not a constant 20%, but instead relied on their feeding schedule?

If they use their Gnaw racial ability on something, then they can become satiated for several turns. Satiation removes their 20% global speed penalty. It's only a temporary fix, and they'll basically shamble slowly into every battle, but at least once they get going they can negate the speed penalty for awhile.

Gnaw is still pretty gimmicky and terrible. Giving it an added bonus of letting you speed up would certainly help it out more.

Ghoul Leap gives 20% global at 1/5 and 30% at 5/5 after being used in 1.5 :)

Similarly, Gnaw got buffed as did their other talents.

Also Gnaw is far from terrible, it's actually very good on melee characters. It spellshocks and reduces all physical stats for a long duration without checking saves.
