Suggestion:Maelstron and Ravage should apply a tick on cast

#1 Post by Elkan »

Due to the high global speed enjoyed by solipsist it becomes a problem at mid to late game that you will spend wasted turns in between distortion casts waiting for Spells you have cast to take effect before you can benefit form the distortion de-buffs. heavily impeding the mechanic based around chain casting them for full effect.

Reducing the duration of these spells by 1 turn over their current values and giving them an instant damage tick and applying the instantly would make distortion game play much more fun and responsive.

I'm not sure exactly what you're proposing.

If they are instant, that has huge implications and makes them very powerful talents. I wouldn't want npcs having that!

Is there a way to solve this without making them instant?

Or are you suggesting something slightly different?

It isn't about making the spells instant-cast. They're proposing that the spells hit as soon as they're cast instead of having to wait for a game tick for the map/temporary effects to update.

Aha. Then I think that's a good suggestion.

Still, would npcs with distortion also benefit from this? Always good to put ourselves in their shoes too 8)
