Tricks of the Trade is fundamentally flawed, so it should just be replaced.
New prodigy: Trinket Master
Gain a second trinket slot. Your totems, torques, and wands no longer use the shared charm cooldown, but instead cooldown individually. Swift Hands no longer removes the active cooldown for equipping trinkets.
I thought this up in like 30 seconds but I think it'd be pretty cool. Normally non-artifact trinkets are bad, but when taken off the shared cooldown, all kinds of cool new possibilities arise.
Edit: Made it less ridiculous with Swift Hands.
Replace Tricks of the Trade with awesome new prodigy!

I think this is Draconic Will levels of awesome, personally. Maybe even more awesome.
Re: Replace Tricks of the Trade with awesome new prodigy!
I support this as a cool as hell and very fitting prodigy idea.
Re: Replace Tricks of the Trade with awesome new prodigy!
I like the idea of a really potent stealth prodigy for rogues/shadowblades, but tricks is...not good.
Adding some major function to stealth is one good option...auto smoke bomb on stealth break, enemy melee blindfight chance now applies to everything, or something. I don't really know if it's salvagable.
Trinket Master could be pretty crazy with swift hands and maxed out charm mastery. Rogue's one of the few classes with 1.3 in Survival and could get some real mileage out of it. Plus, the concept of the clever rogue who outwits the enemy with a lot of tricks and gadgets is a pretty flavorful one.

I'm not sure this would be good enough for a prodigy to be honest.
No, I don't have any useful suggestions.

It'd definitely be good enough because Swift Hands exists, you could stack wards, you could get perma psionic shields, etc. I am actually afraid it may be too strong because of Swift Hands. I will amend it to make this synergy less ridiculous. It might be too dependent on Swift Hands though which is not ideal, because it effectively takes both your prodigy points.
Taking this and Swift Hands would be great on classes that don't use any prodigies particularly well, like Solipsist and Summoner. I can definitely see myself using it.

Yeah I meant it wasn't good enough by itself.
With Swift Hands it is just plain silly.

It's probably good enough by itself to at least be worth considering, though seldom optimal. Double wards can make you immune to a damage type for a long time, and double picks can give you amazing stats (most notably spell cooldown reduction). Also some artifacts are pretty great by themselves, like Tree of Life and The Guardian's Totem.
