I find it rather strange that to unlock Vile Life as an adventurer you have to corrupt the Sandworm Heart, then use a category point to get the tree, whereas the basic Heart basically gives you Harmony for free, saving you a category point and the hassle to go kill the Grand Corruptor.
Why isn't Vile Life available more easily for adventurers? You can't even get it at character creation with a category point, while you can get Harmony. Vile Life doesn't seem OP or whatever so why the different treatment?

Harmony is a generic tree some classes do get. Vile Life is not.
Fair point though.

Adventurer categories are generated from what each class has to stat with. Nobody starts with Vile Life.

Re: Vile Life for Adventurers
It could be nice to have access to some Stone Warden categories too. :p
For vile life, only the first spell seems to be worth the point investment and only if you have high crit. I can't imagine someone maxing the healing inversion or debuff transfer. Elemental Discord looks nice, but doesn't proc often enough to be of any use against masses. Against bosses, it's a very small buff if he's using the right elements. I'd make it proc far more often with a lesser effect I guess. When I sustain it, I don't feel that anything changed except that I'll occasionally see a critter become a block of ice.
Maybe I'm undervaluing the spells though. I don't know if other players think otherwise.

Re: Vile Life for Adventurers
well, dont know about the other three, but have been playing with the idea of starting with vile life for a addon... and i can say, a 0 level 12 (i think) mag req for just the first ability is insane... and the jump between first and second levels in the talent is HUGE (at those levels) 12-23(ish) at .9 mastery.
Re: Vile Life for Adventurers
AFAIK Stone Warden talents doesn't appear on Adventurers because the cass is restricted to donators. There's an addon that enables Stone Warden talents on Adventurers, but it's outdated and if you use it your character won't get mana regen :/The Selfish Gene wrote:It could be nice to have access to some Stone Warden categories too. :p
Also you nailed it, I'm considering Vile Life for Adventurers mostly because of the first talent, which is better than what Harmony gets you for some builds.
Re: Vile Life for Adventurers
Oh come on, Adventurer is pretty powerful already, and you want Blood Splash without doing the task?
