Odd as it sounds, I didn't get around to checking in at the Rhaloren Camp until after having completed the Mark of the Spellblaze / eradication of the Ziguranth quest. This marked all of the elves in the Rhaloren Camp as friendly and meant there wasn't much to do there except mop up a few miscellaneous monsters.
The exception was the High Inquisitor. She was still hostile and I was forced to destroy her. Some kind of consistency fix between the other elves and the High Inquisitor is probably needed. I'm not sure whether the elves' or the Inquisitor's behaviour was the bug, but it makes me realize that there could be a lot of potential for an alternate Rhaloren Camp if you do take the High Corruptor's quest before entering the camp. Maj'Eyal is wonderful in how open it is, and this seems like a small way to hide some additional nonlinearity in it.

Re: Rhaloren Camp Post alliance with the High Corrupter
This is a really good idea... it would be great if any tier one dungeons that you skipped became more interesting/challenging later in the game in a plot-related way. (I know there's something about Backup Guardians, but I managed to miss them the only time I made it back from the East.)
Maybe if you side with the Grand Corruptor and wipe out Zigur, the remaining scattered Zigurite patrols unite and mount a final, desperate attack on the Rhaloren Camp - and you can choose to help the Inquisitor defend it?
I'm sure we could come up with similar alternate scenarios for Trollmire, Heart of the Gloom and Scintillating Caves.
It would be a good way to add variety to the early/mid-game. Do you do all the T1s immediately to give you XP for early-game survivability? Or do you risk skipping some of them and going into the T2s a bit underpowered, in exchange for greater rewards (probably better loot) by doing the harder versions of the T1s in the midgame?

I feel like less loot, but the opportunity for a (locked? unlocked?) category might be even more tempting. Alternatively class or generic points, but those and unlocked categories would need to have suitably difficult conditions.rasputin303 wrote:It would be a good way to add variety to the early/mid-game. Trollmire could have an orcish task force rousing the trolls for an offensive, going with the lore about orcs training them to begin with.
The Scintillating Caves is some kind of Sher'tul temple, isn't it? There could be secret paths or portals revealed via farportal...?

This is pretty cool. I never knew anything special happened if you skipped Rhaloren.
