Hey, dyze, welcome to the forums and to the wonderful world of Eyal (and modding thereof ;) )

First, there is a command (Shift+t) that removes the tactical frame or the healthbar or both. It's a very cryptic feature (you can find it listed in Options -> Keybindings) and very few are aware of it's existence (personally I have discovered it mentioned in the forums some months ago). Nevertheless, your proposal to add an option for a top healthbar sounds reasonable to me. I just don't know how easy or difficult it is to code such thing :)

Looking forward to more ideas. And btw darkgod is always eager for new souls to enslave and force into voluntary slave labour, so consider yourself warned :P

there seem to be a few of those cryptic features in the game.. also, i'm all for slave labour, can definitely see myself contributing something later on :D

(Oh, and there are many reworked trees coming - a glimpse from the Old Forest can be seen there also ;) ).

On the topic of improvements to the characters, even if you don't do a full overhaul of the player dolls, new visuals for different equips would be nice. I don't like how I equip an epic kiteshield... and end up with a buckler.
In fact, for many weapons, this could be as easy as directly placing their thumbnail sprite into the player's hand (scaled up a bit, of course).

Heh, actually all unique shields (-1) now (that is for 1.2.0) have their own playerdoll display :). And more future goodness is coming of course, but just to inform you that it is not that easy as you seam to think it is. ;) Then again, there is a very thin line between complaining about something and volunteering to fix it...
