Currently, the fourth skill in Two Handed Maiming is Blood Frenzy.
I'd like to see it changed for a couple reasons:
1 - aesthetics. It doesn't have to do with maiming at all
2 - it just doesn't make you want to invest further in the tree than just Stunning Blow. (as the other two skills are sub-par, as well)
Merciless (sustainable) (70 stamina cost, as Blood Frenzy is)
Take full advantage of the havoc your blows create.
Whenever you knock an opponent off balance, you have a (3,6,9,12,15)% chance to punish your enemy with an additional free melee attack for 70% damage (that cannot trigger this effect).
This drains stamina quickly (-2 stamina per turn).
I'm thinking this would encourage the player to use sunder arms/armor to get a bonus attack.
It might even add a little appeal to two-handed weapons for an Arcane Blade.
Comments, changes, suggestions?

Different Fourth Skill in Technique/Two Handed Maiming
When in trouble / or in doubt / run in circles / scream and shout.
Re: Different Fourth Skill in Technique/Two Handed Maiming
You know, since Berserkers don't get Greater Weapon Focus, I could see something like this happening. It could even get a higher percentage, since it's a huge cost sustain at the end of a tree.
Something like, on a skill usage they get a free 70%-120% damage hit? Similar to Corrupted Strength?
I don't see how this really helps the Sunder skills in particular, but they need a few tweaks anyways.

Good idea. I posted something similar in http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=40124 albeit as a more debuff-focused version. Either way I think a sustain/cooldown that adds some sort of unique proc would be a great change. With your version I'd probably make it a 100% chance on off-balance and scale up the damage, a single extra swing per turn for a hefty cost wouldn't be overpowering.

I like it. But how often do berserkers knock their enemies off-balance? Maybe five times over a normal cooldown cycle? If so, that's an average of 0.75 free hits at 70% damage per fight--not quite enough to justify the tree past Stunning Blow, I'd think.
If that's right, consider boosting the proc chance and/or damage.

Re: Different Fourth Skill in Technique/Two Handed Maiming
Some good stuff in here.
How about we combine the "maiming" talents with the "bonus attack" benefit?
Blood Frenzy: once per turn when you score a melee critical hit with a great big two-handed murderstick, you have a 10%-50% chance to follow up with a free attack using one of the other talents in this tree (Stunning Blow, Sunder Arms, Sunder Armor) which is not currently cooling down. The talent choice is random, and the bonus attack does not put the chosen talent on cooldown, but you must pay the Stamina cost as usual.

I like it
Heh, arcane blades could even have a reason to take two-handed maiming.

I feel it essential that any addon or update in which this change is made retains the phrase "great big two-handed murderstick" for the talent's in-game description.

I added this to Nulltweaks, please kick it around and let me know if it needs further tweaking.
