I'd like to see something calculating talent effects in-game. Right now I can only see what first (or next) level does, and for the current state of my character. As an inexperienced player, I have no idea how a particular talent will scale as the game progresses. This is especially important as I try to decide what category to unlock. Right now the only way to get more info is to code-dive, or search for characters of your class in the vault, or perhaps search for guides on the forums. Those aren't really in-game options.
Idea I have so far is some sort of "advanced" button on the talent screen. It would open a menu where you can change stats which this talent depends on, mastery value, and as a result you'll see the effect. This way, when deciding what to invest points at clvl 20, I'd have some knowledge what would it look like with clvl 50.

That's a good idea. Mechanically, I don't see how it'd be hard either.

Hmm, does the Talent Point Planner do what you want?qui wrote:Idea I have so far is some sort of "advanced" button on the talent screen. The talent point planner addon or a similar version should be made part of the base game imo.
Re: In-game talent calculator
Well, not exactly. It is useful indeed, but for example there is no way to increase Spellpower - I can push Magic stat up to 60, but an endgame character would likely get near 100. Not to mention bonuses from equipment. I guess looking at the character vault is still the way to go ;)Zizzo wrote: Hmm, does the Talent Point Planner do what you want?

You could turn on dev mode, create a new character of the appropriate class, and modify his stats directly.
