More importantly, is that to get many of the non magic/willpower escort categories requires you to not even have a rune.

That's with a prodigy or a lucky escort, which I wasn't really counting since the latter isn't at all reliable in the first place (and Staff Combat isn't worth mentioning since it's just cancelled out by Mindstar Mastery.) Escorts are neat little bonuses, never something to rely on.

Really, escorts are a different animal altogether. This isn't even really an issue except for the warrior and rogue classes who don't pump willpower but might want Mobility or Field Control. Honestly, I'd rather escorts be redesigned entirely, but that's neither here nor there. I don't see how or why this should impact the reliable generic unlocks that you pick up just doing quests.

One problem that tends to crop up in this sort of discussion is that the joining Zigur decision is treated as being part of the Urkis quest.

Because Fungus, the best part about joining Zigur, is part of the Urkis quest.

I guess another way to look at it would be to remove fungus being gifted for beating Ulkis has a Zigur, but I'm pretty sure a couple of class would severely suffer from that.

Honestly, having her give an arcane item or a unique useful rune or something would be enough, it doesn't need to be an arcane cat. Hell, even a non-unique rune could work, if it's something like a decent shielding or an early CPD rune. I largely just don't like that she doesn't give anything at all, even something small would satisfy me. Doesn't need to be equal to fungus, just...having her give nothing feels strange.

Not that I recall.

I think I'd be happy with one line of dialog and a token reward, like a special rune that's unavailable anywhere else. You pay a cat point for fungus, so paying a cat point for the Rune of Rewarding doesn't seem that far out of place to me as long as it's useful, but proportionately less so.

I still like the idea of a locked Conveyance reward.

It'd be nice for the split's focus to be heavily on mobility/not mobility to me.
