Just checked; as of 1.0.4, Anorithils definitely aggro the thieves upon entering.

SageAcrin the code you're probably missing is that the assassin's lair faction is hostile to sunwall, but not the other player factions.

Incidentally, Sun Paladins and Anorithils that aren't humans or elves will be able to side with the assassin lord.

you could... adjust the invisibility talent itself.

The issue is that the talent as it is is specifically designed to frustrate any attempts at a perma-invis build.

As an interesting adjustment, rather than what it is now, have it just turn off your light trees. Disable all powers that have a light cost (positive, negative, or sustain), and adjust the termination effects so that it's more maintainable with what you have left.
