Nope, I'm not talking about the last floor, thats the easist part of the whole zone.
So I guess you are playing normal? This zone is absolutely fine in normal.
The true issue is that the zone level scales with difficulity alot more than other zones (such as Dreadfell).
So in Nightmare, those corruptors can do 500+ damage in a single spell and they have 700+ health, warriors have a health in 1000-1500 range.
And if you are not lucky enough (which always happend), you will find out there are 6-7 mages stand around you while you walk down the stair, and you have no where to hide due to the design of the zone....

That's interesting. I've died several times BEFORE the cultists, but if I get to it, I've never failed on the cultist countdown.

Dark Portal seems to leave me in places where I can die very fast.

I admit, I am totally okay with making certain places deathtraps in Nightmare, as long as you have the ability to skip them if you want to.
