Rename items

#1 Post by ghostbuster »

Just a small UI idea.
Contrary to Tome 2, it does not seem that it is presently possible to rename items.
It would be quite useful in order to add a tag to items that are kept for a specific reason (allows to breath in water, boosts a stat, give a specific talent useful in some situations, etc). This way, these items wont be transmoed by mistake when the inventory needs to be lightened and finding them when needed will be easier.
The simpler is just to add an entry in the wear/drop/transmo menu.

I don't think I would ever use a rename option, but it would be nice to have a way of marking an item that you wanted to keep so it couldn't be transmogged or dropped accidentally.

Would it be too terrible to allow us to rename randarts? (The way the merchant does)

Would be a nifty use of fortress energy, at the least. And when we find that amazing godly randart, giving it a name and this act of personalization is a nice touch.
Currently playing under the name Aura of the Dawn 4 down, 227 to go!
