On Thorn Grab as a Escort Reward

I honestly don't know if this should be here or in Bugs or what, but I feel like it needs to be addressed. Thorn Grab requires that you have Mindstar Mastery activated before it can be used. This is fine for Summoners - they have to acquire Mindstar Mastery before they can acquire Thorn Grab, and have very little reason to not have it activated at all times. This is not terrible for most of the people who would take it as an escort reward. If you're using mindstars in general, you probably want at least the first level of mindstar mastery more than you want Thorn Grab (nice as it is) so by the time you've grabbed Thorn Grab, you already have what you need. Doomed, however, have all sorts of reason to wear mindstars, and have basically no use for Mindstar Master (it doesn't help the gestures at all). Thus, if you want to use thorn grab as a Doomed, you have to take a completely useless skill from one escort in the hopes of getting the same matching escort quest again later. Worse yet, while the flavor quote does suggest that you might need to do this, none of the crunch text lays it out. It's also pretty counterintuitive - escort quest rewards are supposed to be useful as standalones.

Suggestion - allow Thorn Grab to work on mindstars even without Mindstar Mastery. Alternately, replace it in that particular escort reward with something else that has no such prerequisite for effective use.

The rest of that tree all requires Psiblades as well.

So yeah, either make Thorn Grab the exception(which is reasonable) that just takes a Mindstar, or just yank it and leave Psiblades the only reward from that escort.

The reason this never came up before is because people almost never grab anything but Psiblades anyways. >_>

Had the same experience as the OP. Psiblades seemed incompatible with gestures, but thorn grab potentially neat. Bummer.
