The Fears tree for Cursed/Doomed is pretty fun, but suffers by being completely useless against large groups of enemies (undeads, horrors, slimes...). It would be nice if it were a bit more feasible to concentrate on it.
One way to do this would be to give a small chance of bypassing fear resistance per raw talent level invested. Say 2% per TL, so you'd have a neglible chance when just taking one TL in each talent, but a respectable 40% with the tree fully maxed. This would parallel the damage bonus in the Darkness tree and the crit damage bonus in Force of Will.
Alternatively, Dark Gift's Nightmare Curses 3rd and 4th levels are pretty meh. They could give, say, 15/30/40 percent bypass chance (totals) at levels 3/4/5.

Ghoul never existed, this never happened!

I believe Benli's been busy, but he has a set of ideas for revamping that tree already, that includes getting past Fears immunities.
Basically, as far as I'm aware of, there's already revamps coming there, just in an indeterminate amount of time.

Ah, that's great then. The Afflicted started out cool and keep becoming more so.

I loved Fears on my Doomed but yeah, immunities are an issue. Constructs especially are immune to so many things (still that was my first Atamathon kill
)

Having played a bit more, the fear immunity situation isn't as dire as I first imagined. I had assumed undead would all be immune, as they are to blinding. Instead it's only the skeletons...
