So, the Dreadfell uniques and the other undead non-boss uniques have their own artifacts. Krator can drop his axe, the troll wizard its rune, and so on.
How about making making Ureslak have a chance of dropping the femur, Burb the snow giant wraps, Harkor'Zun its gloves, Phoenix a fire-themed art...and so on? I feel the higher chance of getting these specific artifacts could make these fights more interesting, and it's also consistent with some recent unique/artifact additions.

Harkor Zun's Gloves didn't belong to him. They belonged to 'priests' who worshiped him like a god.

Perhaps he picked them up after eating those cultists.
Anyway I like this idea and agree that it would make sense.

Re: Giving older uniques 'proper' artifact drops
Doesn't the phoenix already drop the fire tome?
Re: Giving older uniques 'proper' artifact drops
also make the artifacts less random. It just seems downright silly for say the rhaloren inquisitor to drop bills trunk or proxs halfing foot when they are still alive.
Re: Giving older uniques 'proper' artifact drops
No one drops the fire tome specifically.
In fact, the Tome of Wildfire only can appear in Vor, so a randomized position boss like that dropping it would be weird.
