it was a good hit.

Hi all.

Playing B41. It always takes a little time to get used to the bigger changes, but so far they all seem right after making peace with changes. [My last (and best) game had to end when the rod of recall bugged out and always sent two copies of the char to you know where. Other than the bugs which seem to come to my characters around the same place (the low 20s) I love the game.]

Anyway, does anyone think it might be nice to see something a little different in the log when hits achieve critical levels?

I'm not even sure that the log even makes note of critical spells. Either I'm not having critical spells or when it happens I'm missing it. The puffs of damage make reading the scroll less than 100% necessary, but it would be nice to have a little visual feedback when you roll a 20. The

Thanks!

TA

p.s. I stumbled upon a disarm wand that I'm enjoying. A bit hard to aim though. It sure would be nice if my char had the good sense to point it at the trap he's standing next to whenever he whips it out.

the log does note when you crit, and even specifies physical, magic, and mental crit.

For spells, it says your spell surges with power. I think it says your mind surges with power for mind attacks. Not sure about physical.

I know, I know.

I'm lobbying for a bit of color. Nice to see that out of the corner of the eye I think. I suggest it will give a little rush as the enemy is devastated without having to focus the eyeball on the specifics.
