Right now, you don't get very much from upgrading the Summoner's jelly.
It'd be nice if the percentage of damage that went to equilibrium recovery increased as it gained levels.
(Also, perhaps it should get a few special attacks as its talent level increases? Acid splash, acid spit, slime spit, or anything along those lines would be good. Maybe even slime roots at level 5 -- that could be exploited with summon control and the summoner's swap-ish talent, though. Good or bad?)

Equilibrium recovery does not need a buff.
It would be nice if it could actually do some damage instead of being a meat shield only. That would then give a reason to put more points in it.
Acidic Skin makes sense (retaliation damage) but it also looks like the damage is very low.
No ranged damage, that would make sense.
Acidic Crawl is an option for melee.
All NPC jellies are pretty lame right now, no special skills.
