Share sections of map over in-game chat.

Is this ever likely to be done?

This would be amazing for sharing all the little screwed-up situations you find yourself in, the grisly predicaments that await your escorts when they spawn next to a battalion of snakes in the Old Forest, or the daft position perhaps in front of its own speeding projectile that a hated boss miraculously decides to teleport into.

There might be worries about people using it to get help the moment any challenge of any kind arises from the game's cruel devices, but it would be hard to bumble through to the end of the game this way, and it's not as though the chat isn't a fantastic source of help already.

When you pull out of your little scrape, still alive, and your death doesn't show in the main channel, you could post yourself standing gloriously at near-full health, next to the last of your adversary's soon-to-be-a-body, it'll be a tremendous satisfaction to be able to show off your skill.

I imagine you'd either have to select a section of grid similar to selecting zoomed-up pixels in a paint program, and then maybe give it a title. Or more simply, the game would send the smallest rectangle that includes all squares in line of sight. The chat log would then display: <Nagyhal> [NAGY'S TITLE] or Nagyhal shares the current area in view. You'd have to click it and then you'd see a dialog separate from the rest of the UI so you can hover over the actors in the shared map without it fading or interfering with the map you're playing in.

This would only be a step down from recordings applying over a series of turns, I guess, which would be even better though probably rather a lot more technically demanding.
