Just a thought, a generic tree that thematically suited both necromancers and shadowblades would be nice.

I don't know about the alterations tree; some of it sounds good, other bits strike me as more appropriate for corrupted/afflicted. Keeping it in the realm of magical augmentation, like Manablood and Edge's Runic Skin, sounds good.

I guess the real question is - what are necromancers lacking? They have summons, they have a respectable number of sustained skills, they have offensive abilities. They don't have too many defensive or passive options, but what they do have is already very unique and thematically appropriate. A means of regenerating mana has been mentioned a number of times in this thread, so that should be considered. The only other issue I can think of is the lack of survivability when you can't position your minions appropriately or they all die, but those ideas should probably be addressed in the respective trees.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

I don't know. They have blurred mortality, vampiric gift, and the conveyance tree. Not as good as aegis but when all your minions are died you can just run :) They also have up to 250 more hit points then a mage ;)

When all you minions are dead you use curse of the meek and then run :)
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Protection from your own minions. Nothing like getting mana-thrusted and killed by your own mob as you summon reinforcements. The risks grow as you level, too. I dont care if they destroy each other (which they do). This definitely seems like either an AI change or some kind of class skill though.

Yeah, it's really just an issue for the Weirdling Beast.

Necrosis: Mortification (inspired by Grey's alteration tree)

Macabre Focus (passive) - You focus on death above all else. You gain mana whenever an enemy dies.
- Gain some MP whenever an enemy dies in your LOS.

Necrotic Flesh (passive) - Your mastery of unlife allows you to alter your flesh.
- Lowers life regen
- Lowers Max HP
- Increases resist all
- Deals rot dmg when hit

Skeletal Alteration (passive) - You restructure the bones in your body.
- Lowers strength and physical saves
- Increases casting speed and dexterity

Warped Soul (passive) - You alter the very essence of your being.
- Lowers mental saves and light resistance
- Increases darkness resistance and spell saves

Twisted Metamorphosis (activated) - You transfigure your hapless foe into a grotesque horror.
Cost: ? MP
Cooldown: ? turns
- Turns a target into a random horror
- The horror is insane and is hostile toward everyone, including you. It'll attack whoever is closest.

Necrotic Flesh
Why do you want to make yourself unable to heal without any talent at all though? -.25 mean 0 regeneration...
Skeletal Alteration
Sorry, but not even sure how is dex useful for necro...also reduce strength enough and you wouldn't even be able to use some equipments...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...
