So I was thinking about summoners and Wyrmics, this led to equilibrium. Equilibrium is a measure of how out of tune with nature you are, correct?
So if you can meditate to get yourself back in tune with nature, why can't you build up some extra points with it? Get yourself "Negative" equilibrium, in a way.
So how about a tree that lets you go 'below' 0 on the scale, which boosts abilities as long as you are in nature's grace?
I think a quest given in Thalore to help repair the damage from the heart of the gloom would fit the reward very nicely, and give a good reason to enter that town at all.
As to the mechanics of the tree, I think to get negative equil you should have to do more than just 'meditate' a boost. so here is an early draft of the tree, i look forward to seeing you guys fix it up though
Nature's Reward
Return to the Earth- a strike that does 75% nature damage, if this kills your foe you gain 10 equilibrium, if your equilibrium is brought below 0 with this skill you gain the passive 'nature's reward' which grants bonus to all wilder gifts and lowers cooldowns by 1. This state lasts until your equil returns to 0. Meditation will not be available while this sustain is active. Jelly and swallow will grant no additional equil until this mode deactivates. with each point the amount of equil gained rises by 5.
Lingering Pain -passive- Adds damage over time to Return to the Earth, after your initial hit each turn your foe will take 10% of the damage return to the earth dealt for 5 turns. if this damage kills your foe Return to the earth's effect will activate as normal. Each point adds 4% damage taken each turn.
Earth's Aid - sustain, no cost - While 'Nature's reward' is active there is a 20% Chance that the earth will heal you for 15% of your max health, and a 25% of being healed of a detrimental status ailment. each turn this sustain is on it drains 5 eqiuilibrium. with each point in this the chance of earth's aid coming into effect is raised by 5%
Earth's protection - Passive- While Nature's Reward is active, there is a 25% chance that a temporary wall will be raised when you are the target of hostile magic. this wall will last for 3 turns. at level two the wall will push back foes if you are within melee range, at level three two walls can exist at the same time. at level four three can exists at the same time. at level five the wall will attempt to redirect the spell to another target, with a 30% chance of success

Re: Equilibrium Idea
That's a fairly interesting idea, which, if implemented, would bring a new game element for Wilders. However, I don't think that a whole tree is necessary — all Wilders should be able to have equilibrium lower than 0 from the beginning. I'm not sure about how do implement this... Also, if implemented, some of the Gifts may need tweaking or even a heavy revamp.
Re: Equilibrium Idea
Earth's Protection sounds pretty cool, albeit complicated. Would be one hell of a skill for a boss to have. In general it's a rather good tree, probably too good, but Wilders could use some love. While we're throwing out equilibrium ideas, here's one I've been thinking about for a while:
Change Meditate to a sustained ability, much like Stealth. You can only activate it while there are no enemies around, and taking/dealing damage removes the effect. While it is active you reduce your equilibrium level by X. At 0 equilibrium it auto-deactivates, and if you are attacked while the effect is active, you are inflicted with the "stun" status effect. More points in the skill increase the amount of equilibrium reduced.

Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
