New tileset option (Shockbolt + ASCII objects)

#1 Post by Dervis »

What I would like to request if possible, would be a tileset incorporating both the Shockbolt background and ASCII objects.

I can see the work that has gone into the Shockbolt tiles and it's quite good art mostly around, however I can't find myself to like the stubby orcs and the undistinguishable snow giants (and the furballs as well). So for me, an option to have both the background tiles and ASCII monsters would be the best of the 2 worlds: visually appealing backgrounds and roguelikeliness in one package.

Thank you.

I made a mock up of a superimposed ascii over shockbolt. There is a bit of a offset issue. But the suggestion really got shot down. ;/

I'd love this personally. What would be even better is slightly stylized ASCII.

Slightly stylized like the dragon on ADOM's main page, or like something else?
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

I'm thinking more in the style of Shockbolt's drawings, but still as plain symbols.
