Mousing over a square that is affected by a talent such as Inferno, Creeping Dark, or acid cloud should display its information in the mouse-over tooltip. Possibly in the format:
Inferno (5 turns) deals 19 fire damage per turn.
Creeping Dark (3 turns) deals 23 dark damage per turn and blocks LoS.
Floor
This would allow easy identification of multiple effects, especially when several are stacked on the same square.

2nded! Especially if your particle effects aren't very wide you sometimes hardly notice something there.
I mean it's an INFERNO... wtf?

Goddamn, this would make my life so much easier and nicer.
Sparse particle effects are certainly a bit of a poor show. If you can't turn the density to full then it's hard to appreciate them. Maybe certain spells could show both particle and lighting effects?
