Rest recovers cooldowns

I rest to prepare to fight again.

It'd be handy if resting continued until I've recovered my skill/infusion/rune cooldowns as well as my health and stamina.

Sometimes I'm undamaged, and sometimes my regen rates beat the cooldown timer. So my rests typically look like this: r555555, or simply 55555555.

Is this common for people? Is there a design reason rest doesn't include cooldowns now? If so, would a two-stage rest be possible? I press 'r', resting continues til my health and stamina recover. If I press 'r' and my health and stamina are already 100%, resting continues til my skills/runes/infusions have recovered.

I'm certainly not complaining, mind you. I'm totally enjoying the game. :D

I've often felt similarly about Air. Shouldn't it be considered as important as HP and stamina? If you're resting in a place with Air, keep resting until your lungs are full. Also, it makes no sense that it can take several rounds to basically Inhale.

I second this idea.

Something like "if there are unavailable talant timers rest until they cool down ; if all talent timers are available then rest until the character is fully healed"

It would sometimes require pressing R twice to fully heal but to be honest i prefer hitting the regen and manasurge runes and moving along instead of idly letting turns go by - specially when it's a boss monster level!

In fact, why not add "if character is fully healed, rest until all talent timers have cooled down" ?! Last night i ended up dying a bunch of times because i went down the stairs after having pressed the R button thinking "ok i'm healed, good to go" only to discover half my spells on the second hotkey page were still cooling down ...

I've learned from that mistake so now each time i rest i do "R -> squint at the screen -> hit enter button when regen/manasurge are available -> press their respective hotkeys -> hit R button again -> wait till resting stops -> press page down 3 times to make sure all of my spells are available" and then move on.

There'd need to be two rest options then.

I don't want to rest for 1000 turns while angolwyn teleport cools down.
