Permanent air-filled chambers
Some of the longer submerged areas are tough on stamina-dependent classes since restoring stamina at low levels is only done through resting. To remedy this I am toying with permanently air-filled chambers. Here is a first pass: http://pastebin.com/b4k8tieu It leaves much to be desired since the current implementation would require a "dry" copy of every room map. Just documenting the current status for now...
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended
Re: Permanent air-filled chambers
perhaps, a stamina regain infusion would be in order?

Re: Permanent air-filled chambers
Stamina in no way needs an infusion.
I do say that perm-breathe rooms would be a much better solution as they have a 100% rest spot that ALL players could use, and while hopefully being rare/spread out enough it keeps air bubbles [go SONIC!] to be very important.

You wouldn't need a permabreath room. All you need is an "air hole" terrain feature (or whatever) that would do the air bubble thing without running out. I suspect that would be a lot easier to code.

There are already some of those in the spiral water hazard level in Tannen's tower. They aren't called anything special, there's just an open grey square where you can breathe.

at the VERY least, you should stop resting when you can't breathe. I just died because I decided to rest for a while on an air bubble. And it happened so fast i couldn't do anything about it.
