Why faction field in the monster description?
Are there any plans to implement faction dynamics, generated quests and generally emergent plotline? Or factions just legacy form older engines?

Factions already are meaningfully implemented.
- Some factions like you, hate you, or are neutral to you. This depends primarily on *your* base faction, which in turn depends on your race and class.
- Certain factions will hate and fight one another, regardless of their feelings towards you.
- It is possible (via at least one known quest) to change how a faction feels about you.
Now, this may not be the most detailed and intensive faction system in the world, but it's not just legacy
