New here, starting out, enjoying playing an Archer, a class I like in other rpgs and arpgs, but like here even more.
One thing weird I notice is that when I use "pinning shot", the text log shows me that my target is "pinned to the ground", and then immediately that target moves toward me. I am not sure if this is a bug of some sort, because it seems that if enemies use a talent that allows them to avoid or cancel or dispel a negative effect (I guess pinning is a physical one), that shows up in the log, but here, there is nothing of the sort. Or is it that the message log itself is bugged in that the pinning shot hit the target, but the chance to pin was not successful and the message log just ignores that? Or does the physical save of the target come *after* the "target is pinned to the ground" event? (Perhaps that's not a bug, but if so, it seems massively counter-intuitive.) Any tips appreciated, thank you in advance.
Is this working right?

Do they move afterward? Do they still have the "Pinned" status while moving?
Its possible that they moved, and were then hit by the Pinning Shot. Projectiles do not move instantly.

Yes, and yes. I'm definate they were hit (and thus the message log: "X is pinned to the ground"), and afterwards they move (and upon inspection have the pinned tag).

Did they use a lightning rune before you shot them? IIRC that can still move you a tile even if you are pinned

Thanks but pretty sure the answer is in 99% of the cases (it happens frequently) no. Perhaps the "pinned" tag refers only to the minor debuff, not the actual pinning...?Coldbringer wrote:Did they use a lightning rune before you shot them? IIRC that can still move you a tile even if you are pinned
