really really DUMB adventurer combo...

so, I take Magical Combat, Earthen Missiles, and Blink Blade.

Guess what?

Your earthen missiles can hit yourself with blink blade, if they proc on first hit and you land in their path after you blink :-(

But wait, it gets worse... I returned from Eidolon Plane and, yep, got killed a second time by more Earthen Missiles still in motion. hahahaha

back to the drawing board ......

It's like those trees in the expansion, or any rare that pulls you in right after you shoot, and you get hit by your own Vital Shot crit.

In the case of Gunslinger, that is TWO vital shots so if you return to the same place after Eidolon, you get hit by the second :)

Oh, the Weirdling Beast is notorious for this. It's what eventually drove me to write my Stop Hitting Yourself! addon — which will cover your Vital Shot case, but not the OP's Earthen Missiles case.

You don't even need to be an adventurer. The "Switch Places!" skill from Dirty Fighting does the same thing. It took me so long to realise why it was costing an Aegis boosted shield and half my HP every time I used the skill.

switch places... that talent, that does 0% weapon damage for the purpose of procs...
that is actually hilarious, to be put on a character whose primary damage is non instant procs.

One of the lores in Embers specifically mentions getting killed by earthen missiles against the weirdling beast.

Also, once as a gunslinger I made the mistake of using awesome toss, then taking a step toward an enemy.
