Hi,
So I'm playing a Ghoul Reaver at around 28 and I'm on floor 6 of Dreadfell. So far it's been cake, but in the staircase from floor 5, I encountered Dread ghosts. I can only kill about one before I'm forced to go up stairs again and get my dual shield cooldowns back, but it seems they just become more and more.
The layout is awkward, as there's walls all around me except the to the south, so they attack me from all sides being within the walls. I'm assuming they're summoned by someone but non of the other creatures gets the chance to come within vision. They also disappear after a turn, making it hard to check on their progress, I'm also assuming I have a worse chance of hitting them in that state. My diseases are always getting resisted despite having a high spellpower (i usually never get resisted).
I don't really dare teleporting away from the starcase as well. Any advice? I could maybe grind farportals and come back in a few levels to see if anything changes..

The thing summoning the Dreads is a Dreadmaster, which is basically a dread but tougher and with minions. They're kind of hard for most reavers; ghosts are immune to disease, have high defense, and get even tougher to hit because of stealth. If you've put a lot of points into Epidemic and Cyst Burst you might be able to exploit those to clear them out.
My advice is to go downstairs, teleport, and see if you can get to the next level before the dreads catch up. No shame in running from a foe you can't kill.

<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

Thanks for your advice. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Either port away and find their dreadmasters when they're still manageable or rush for the stairs.
After doing everything in the west (even spellblaze) and as many farportals as I could, I returned to to Dreadfell (lvl 30) to give it another shot, but it was just too many of them. I actually tried teleporting away in hopes of being able to kill off the dreadmaster(s) but after a fair run and about 3-4 teleports later, I died. I spent my last life to do some vaults, and while fighting a level 50 Vampire Lord, I must have gotten disease or something, because my Catalepsy critted, hitting myself as well for 1300. >_>
Ah well, lessons learned. My 2nd reaver is almost ready to avenge his predecessor!

I had a similar scenario with a Rogue. It was on Dreadfell: 9 entrance, so it's much worse to psychoport away. I came back overleveled. The Dreadmaster was something like level 34.
