Question about lore

#1 Post by Weizsacker »

I do not precisely grasp the meaning of the sentence in "Lecture on Humility by Archmage Linaniil".
"Know ye well that there are forces out there which dwarf ye into insignificance."
Could someone paraphrase it?

It effectively means that you don't matter. Which, ofcourse, makes the player feel more determined to win the game.

Yeah being so much more powerful than you than you are simply nothing to them
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Listen clearly, there are things out there so powerful you are worthless compared to them.

"Now now, little grubber, don't you get too uppity like. You may think you're the bees knees and capable of all sorts of high faloutin' magical whatsits, but be mindful of yourself and your limitations! Out in the big wide world there's a lot of things you don't know much about, and you'd do well to get yourself educated, my little whippersnapper! Cause them things don't just play around, and you try treat this like a game and you'll get stomped like a bug beneath a balrog's bum, y'hear?"

Uh, is that any clearer?
