Randomization and Recurring events (Newb Question)

#1 Post by Noja »

There is no doubt that TOME has a lot of replay-ability

with loads of classes and a bunch of different races to play them as...there is no argument that this game is very repayable.

But what kind of randomization happens in game?

I'm a fairly new player, been playing for a week now and I've gotten the hang of things.
so i haven't really experienced thee entire game yet.

But the only randomization I've seen so far are the dungeons and some quest.
my questions:

Are there random events/quest that happen according to your level?
Do enemy's respawn?
Do you run out of stuff to do as a level 50?

I just wonder about these things, because I love this game, but i worry i will run out of stuff to do on a level 50 character... 0_0

There are dungeons with random locations, that only occur with specific level requirements or specific class requirements. Not a lot though.

Monsters don't respawn, except in a few special situations.

You do run out of things to do. After a while, a character has nothing left to do (except the Infinite Dungeon, which you'll discover eventually).

I understand development is planned/begun on another quest arc, but the model is still more that of a pre-designed quest system, rather than infinite procedurally generated content.

Aside from Infinite Dungeon, you can also use Farportals, it generates a random 2 - 4 Dungeon with a (pretty hard) boss at the end. but I only use this to grind for experience and gear.
