As the title says, I'm not sure if this is already suggested or if it exists in-game someplace I'm unaware of or what, but here goes!
In ToME4 there are a ton of abilities that adjust speed.. Global speed, movement speed, projectiles have their own speeds, etc. etc.
Is there ANY way to see what 'turn' it is, or where in the process of a single turn you are? Like, for example, if I have 10% mindspeed, how do I know when that 10% pops up and I get that extra bit of a turn? It seems like having some kind of turn indications would be really handy for getting a grasp, since one click/action is far from a single turn across the board, especially when hastes/slows/etc. come into play.

Having each actor show their energy on their tooltip could work...

FFX's next actor list is a handy UI, if someone is looking for inspiration.

Thanks for the replies! Based on them I'm guessing there isn't really a way to tell, right now? I've had some mindspeed for a while on my solipsist but I really can't tell when or if it's really "happened" as of yet! Do you just suddenly get a second action in the same 'turn' when it does trigger that extra move?
Re: Question - not sure if this belongs here or ideas, but..
Well, it isn't quite that straightforward. Every individual actor (eg, the player, monsters) has their own energy level, when it reaches 100%, they act. What mindspeed does is makes it so that instead of spending a full turn's worth of energy using a mind talent, you just use part of one. That will result in you occasionally getting two turns in, let's say when the enemy is at 5% energy, and again when it is at 95%.

Thanks! That makes sense then, akin to the CT-timer some games have, just not using a full turn. I guess my original post stands, in that case, is there ANY way to tell when this will kick in, or maybe it'd be nice to add some kind of feature so as to tell what in the world is going on turn-wise?lukep wrote:Well, it isn't quite that straightforward.
