need advice with golems
Tried playing an alchemist a little but I barely have to turn a corner & my golem seems confused about how to follow me. I'd hate to see him find me if I teleport. Anyone have good advice on how to keep them workable? It's painfully slow going to stay within 1 square of them or constantly backtrack.

Get the third tier skill. Summons the golem to you.
Other than that, I dunno. Be careful? It didn't seem to have too hard a time following me on auto-explore.

Addons: Arcane Blade Tweaks, Fallen Race, Monk Class, Weapons Pack
Currently working on Elementals. It's a big project, so any help would be appreciated.

I generally move manually, perhaps it has no trouble on auto-explore because you & the golem are using the same pathfinding routine that way. Will try autoexploring & seeing if I have better luck.

On a similar note. I'm finding the pathfinding ai of all monsters a little strange. I had this one just then:
w.
T.
@.
(The dots are empty squares). The white worm mass sat & waited several turns for me to kill the troll, rather then step next to him. I've had similar issues in escape from Reknor where Norgan would sit & watch me fight rather then move 1 square.

Right-click on the golem and you can change its AI settings. Setting its leash to 1 will keep it from getting lost most of the time.
