#1 Post by Throckmorton »

What's the difference between stunned and dazed? And confused?
Thanks to any and all who answer...

Thanks. Wierd. Just to cover my *ss I want to mention that I did a search for "dazed" on the wiki, before I posted, and that page didn't show up.

Note that when you are afflicted by a status effect you can hover the cursor over the name on the left-hand panel to get a tooltip describing its exact effect.

Searching in the wiki doesn't really work. :/

"Stun" and "daze" are kind of odd in ToME because the names seem backwards. To me, anyway. "Stunned" I envision as being more incapacitated, whereas being "dazed" sounds like it would hinder or slow your actions without actually preventing them.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

You can't do this for paralysis or daze, though, since you're never going to be able to move the cursor while affected by them!
