Precise Strikes

#1 Post by PowerWyrm »

Is it me or is this talent totally pointless?
This talent reduces your attack speed exponentially, increasing your critical hits and attack rate by an insignificant amount...
I would make it more like -5% attack speed, 4 attack rate and 2% critical hits per skill level to at least make it somewhat useful...

I never take more than one point in it, so yes it probably could use some tweaking to be usable at higher levels.

Same as yufra. I put a point in it early just because hit is so scarce the first couple of levels and because it's required for Rush. Once I outgrow it I no longer sustain it.

My suggestion would be for the penalty to not scale. In other words make it 10% like it is now and have that be the penalty at talent level one and five. If I could get more hit and crit out of that 10% speed penalty I might keep using it past level four.

I have never invested points into that category with any character ever. None of them seem all that good, but ofcourse with having no experience using them, my opinion doesn't really hold much weight.

Rush is great for molds and is the only real reason to shove a point into Precise Strikes. Level 1 isn't too bad overall but the scaling penalty makes it absolutely horrendous. To be frank there's a lot of talents that aren't worth putting more than 1 point in.

I fixed the penality to 10%

The attack rate increase is still insignificant though... it's like +4 at level 1 and then almost doesn't increase with talent level, which is ridiculous.

The Berserk talent has precisely the same problem.

Maybe make the bonus scale with a stat? I was thinking str or dex whichever is higher or something. That way if you are getting it to avoid pumping dex it is still useful. Or maybe scaled with level?

It scales. Same with Berserker. There's a lot of warrior talent descriptions that are missing the Scales with 'Blah' line and these are two of them.

*ninja edit* Which is also why you won't see a lot of difference between talent point 1 and talent point 2 when you're low level, your stats aren't high enough to feel the effect of that second talent point.
