Global speed - where is it displayed?

I couldn't find it on side panel nor in character sheet.
Also, using means to speed up my character didn't change displayed casting speed so global speed info would be useful.

Some explanation would be useful, indeed, I never understood what exactly are the mechanics behind attack and movement speed, what are their effects in the game, and how they relate one with the other (double attack speed with double movement/global speed means four times as much attack speed?); I have been only able to deduct simple, relative facts like "ok, I'll get some extra attack every now and then in a fight" and "ok, once in a while I'll move by one square while my opponent will stand still".
