Request for test, windows users: ToME Launcher!

I have BlueScreenView, and oddly, it doesn't show the dumps it made (major red flag for me at this point) but I'd have to agree it might be my HDD and at the same time, I hope it isn't (checks say everything's good so far). Everything will be done soon, so I'll be rerunning the launcher in a bit. If it still crashes, I'll try to exit some programs and stuff to see if anything clashes with it or something.

If not, well, time for a new HDD /bigsadface

EDIT: OK, Victoria says HDD is GOOD, so I'll take that as an OK to rerun the launcher

The launcher won't (erm) launch on my Win 8.1 laptop - tried all compatibility combinations, switched between Intel and AMD videocards - no effect!
It just shows the blank white window with the border; if I wait, nothing will happen; if I click on the close button (cross, I mean), it just freezes and becomes "Not responsing".
Any ideas/fixes? I had to redownload 1.05 when it was released, even
