Last time I checked, player running via a mouse click to a distant objective still hits a known trap and takes damage.#

It'll stop before you hit. You have to click again to step on the trap, then yet again to set off running once more. Really easy to observe the behavior in the Maze.

Ya, I move almost exclusively with the mouse for that reason.

Eh, shift move works more or less exactly the same as running, just only in cardinal directions. It'll follow the path in places like the maze pretty easily, though the mouse is admitably easier for getting from one end of the map to the other, if for some reason you actually need to (i.e. can't find last level minotaur on the way to the out stairs).

I really don't like using the mouse, though. Makes me move my hands away from the keyboard and the hotkeys, which generally ends up with me pressing the wrong thing and everything going to pot. Lost a few characters to that.

Another RNG complaint: Storm Wyrm in the forest. I had a teleport rune, but it wasn't worn yet...
my handwriting is bad

Stupid RNG: Fighting Bill the Troll, slipped on a rock, stunned. Died.
