Help a newbie out

I find skeleton mages don't usually get me unless I am already compromised by something else. As others have said, the key is to take cover, or rush it, usually the former.

The shade used to kill me a lot, but now that I am aware of his danger I just lure him out of his long corridor. (or more often, do something tricky with a certain tool)
